Working At The Gondola
During the summer, the Banff Gondola is open to the public from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm, 7 days a week. Various shifts are scheduled throughout the week and transportation is provided to get you to work on time. Your job can require you to work either at the base of the lift or at the Summit Complex. The Summit of Sulphur Mountain is at 2,281m (7,486 feet) above sea level.
Brewster provides uniforms for all staff members, and staff working in public are expected to meet appearance guidelines. People from all over the world visit Sulphur Mountain and look forward to taking the Banff Gondola to the summit as a highlight of their visit to the Canadian Rockies. Your primary responsibility is to make their visit enjoyable and safe.
Several staff events take place throughout the summer: horse back riding, baseball tournaments, white water rafting, and the annual BBQ at the top of Sulphur Mountain.
